Turkey’s largest dredger vessel “Kanuni” which is built at Özata Shipyard for ES Group, was launched into the sea in a ceremony.
The ceremony held at Özata Shipyard in Altınova, Yalova was attended by Erol Demirbaş who is Chairman of the Board of ES Group, Birol Demirbaş and Halil Demirbaş whose are members of the ES Group Board of Directors, Hulusi Ataseven who is Vice Chairman of the Board of Özata Shipyard, as well as employees of ES Group and Özata Shipyard and other guests.
AN UNHEARD-OF EQUIPMENT IN THE WORLD
ES Group, advancing towards having Turkey’s largest dredger fleet, has realized a project of great importance for the maritime industry. Kanuni, Turkey’s largest dredger vessel, was brought to life with an investment of nearly 25 million TL. With dimensions of 43 meters in length, 16 meters in width, 3 meters in depth, a maximum draft value of 2.30 meters, and a displacement capacity of 1110 tons, the “dredger ship” consists of a total of 5 blocks, all assembled.
AN ORGANIZATION THAT WILL DO LICENSED SEA DREDGER NOW; ES GROUP
Erol Demirbaş who is Chairman of the Board of ES Group, mentioned that the remaining work would continue after the vessel is launched into the water, and delivery from the shipyard would be made after the completion of the vessel. Demirbaş explained that there is a 200-ton capacity excavator at the bow of Kanuni, and due to its self-propelled nature, this survey barge is possibly an equipment unprecedented in the world.
