Özata Shipyard in Yalova has launched the vessel named Gharb Al Qurna 1, the first of two aluminium-built platform support vessels constructed for Iraq South Oil Company. The platform support vessel will be delivered in September.
In a ceremony held in Yalova, the first of two platform support vessels constructed by Özata Shipyard from aluminium material for Iraq South Oil Company, named Gharb Al Qurna 1, was launched into the sea.
The launching ceremony of the platform support vessel, Gharb Al Qurna 1, ordered by Iraq South Oil Company and constructed by Özata Shipyard, was attended by Metin Oral, the Mayor of Altınova, Nurullah Kaya, the District Governor of Altınova, Municipal council members, Özdemir Ataseven who is Chairman of the Board of Özata Shipyard, executives, and employees.
Constructed from aluminium material at Özata Shipyard, the Gharb Al Qurna 1 platform support vessel, with a length of 47.5 meters and a width of 9.6 meters, is expected to be delivered to Iraq South Oil Company in August. Additionally, Gharb Al Qurna 2, another platform support vessel built by Özata Shipyard for Iraq South Oil Company, is anticipated to be delivered in October.
